Training Overview

Varicose Veins Management Masterclass is an intensive, one-day educational program designed to strengthen clinical decision-making and practical understanding in the evaluation, diagnosis, and contemporary interventional management of chronic venous disease. Designed for medical professionals seeking to advance their knowledge in phlebology and venous interventions, the Masterclass combines structured morning lectures with afternoon live clinical case observation and faculty-led case discussions.

The program begins with essential morning modules covering lower extremity venous anatomy and hemodynamics, mechanisms of venous reflux, and CEAP/VCSS clinical classification. Participants review systematic diagnostic workflows with a particular focus on Duplex ultrasound mapping and its role in treatment planning. The theoretical section covers both thermal ablation techniques, including EVLA and RFA, and non-thermal treatment options such as cyanoacrylate closure, MOCA, and ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy, providing a structured framework for patient selection and individualized treatment planning.

The afternoon session transitions to live clinical case observation. Depending on patient eligibility, clinical indications, consent, and hospital scheduling, participants may observe venous mapping, endovenous treatment procedures, and sclerotherapy techniques performed in a real clinical environment. Faculty-led discussions will address procedural strategy, device and technique selection, vascular access, catheter positioning, treatment planning, post-procedural management, and complication prevention.

Interactive case discussions may also include challenging clinical scenarios such as recurrent varicose veins, pelvic venous disorders, and post-thrombotic disease, depending on the cases available during the program.

By the end of the Masterclass, participants will have developed a structured approach to venous assessment and Duplex mapping, a clearer understanding of patient selection and treatment modality selection, and greater familiarity with contemporary endovenous procedural workflows, post-procedural care, and potential complications.

Logistics and Additional Information

Transfer Services

Participants using ADN CoE® accommodation and transfer services are required to follow the confirmed pick-up and drop-off schedule communicated prior to the program.

Transfer arrangements are organized according to the confirmed training and hospital schedule. Meeting points, departure times, and other relevant transfer details will be shared with registered participants in advance.

Due to the nature of live clinical training, transfer times may be adjusted if the hospital or clinical case schedule changes. Participants will be informed of any necessary updates as early as reasonably possible.

International Participants

International participants are responsible for ensuring that their passport, visa, and other required travel documents are valid before travel.

For invitation letters or supporting documentation related to course participation, please contact trainings@adncoe.com at least 4 weeks before the program start date.

Information regarding recommended accommodation, local transportation, training venue details, and other practical arrangements will be shared with registered participants prior to the program.

As the Masterclass includes live clinical cases, hospital and case schedules may occasionally change due to patient eligibility, clinical indications, hospital scheduling, or other clinical circumstances.

International participants are therefore strongly advised to purchase refundable, flexible, or changeable airline tickets and accommodation whenever possible.

Participants should avoid making non-refundable or non-changeable travel arrangements.

Attire

Business casual attire is recommended for theoretical and educational sessions.

For live clinical case observation, participants are required to comply with the dress code, hygiene, infection-control, and access requirements of the participating healthcare institution.

Clinical scrubs and/or personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided or arranged where required by the host institution.

Participants are expected to follow all hospital-specific instructions while accessing clinical and procedural areas.

Health & Safety

All participants are required to comply with the health, safety, hygiene, infection-control, and emergency procedures of the training venue and participating healthcare institution.

Prior to entering clinical or procedural areas, participants may receive orientation regarding relevant hospital safety, infection-control, emergency, and clinical access protocols.

During live clinical case observation, participants must follow all instructions provided by the clinical team and host institution.

Patient safety and clinical care take priority over educational activities at all times.

Transfer of Registration

Participants may request to transfer their registration to another eligible individual from the same institution, subject to prior written approval by ADN CoE®.

Transfer requests must be submitted in writing to trainings@adncoe.com at least 10 days before the program start date.

The substitute participant must meet the eligibility and professional requirements of the Masterclass. All registration transfers are subject to ADN CoE® approval and, where applicable, the access requirements of the participating healthcare institution.

Course Postponement or Cancellation

ADN CoE® reserves the right to change the course date, postpone, reschedule, or cancel the program due to unforeseen circumstances, including changes in patient availability, clinical scheduling, hospital requirements, faculty availability, or other circumstances beyond reasonable operational control.

As the Masterclass includes live clinical cases, adjustments to the program schedule may occasionally be necessary to accommodate clinical priorities and patient care.

If the program is cancelled by ADN CoE®, participants will be offered either:

• a full refund of the course registration fee, or

• the option to transfer their registration to a future course date.

ADN CoE® is not responsible for independently booked flights, accommodation, visa costs, transportation, or other personal travel expenses resulting from a date change, postponement, or cancellation.

For this reason, participants are strongly advised to book refundable, flexible, or changeable travel and accommodation arrangements whenever possible.

Non-Transferable Fees

Course registration fees are specific to the registered program and may not be transferred to another ADN CoE® course, training program, or service unless otherwise approved in writing by ADN CoE®.

Any exception or transfer is subject to prior written approval and, where applicable, availability in the requested program.

Important Information Regarding Live Cases

This Masterclass is based on real patient procedures and live clinical case observation. Therefore, the exact number, type, sequence, and timing of procedures depend on patient eligibility, patient consent, clinical indications, hospital scheduling, and faculty availability.

Patient safety and clinical necessity always take priority over the educational schedule. For this reason, the clinical program may be modified when medically or operationally necessary.

The program is observational unless otherwise specifically authorized by the relevant hospital and permitted under applicable regulations.

Where hands-on participation is possible, it is not guaranteed and remains subject to patient consent, hospital authorization, clinical circumstances, faculty approval, and applicable regulations.
