Neuroimaging
Stroke Imaging & Perfusion Analysis
A two-day, simulation-based neuroimaging training at ADN CoE focused on mastering MRI and CT perfusion techniques for stroke diagnosis, tissue viability assessment, and clinical decision-making in acute neurovascular care.

Training Overview
Stroke Imaging & Perfusion Analysis Training is an intensive, simulation-based educational program designed for neuroradiologists, neurologists, emergency physicians, and imaging scientists specializing in cerebrovascular disorders. This two-day course provides an in-depth understanding of acute stroke imaging principles, perfusion analysis, and standardized assessment workflows that guide evidence-based management of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke.
The program begins with comprehensive sessions on cerebrovascular anatomy, stroke pathophysiology, and imaging strategies across modalities such as CT, CT perfusion (CTP), MRI, and MR perfusion (PWI). Participants gain hands-on experience in identifying infarct core, penumbra, and vessel occlusions using simulation software that replicates real-time emergency imaging workflows.
Through interactive simulation modules and AI-assisted case studies, attendees practice automated perfusion map interpretation, collateral scoring, and decision-making for thrombectomy and thrombolysis eligibility. The program emphasizes the integration of perfusion imaging biomarkers into standardized reporting systems such as ASPECTS and RAPID-like software tools.
Participants also engage in case-based discussions using anonymized acute stroke datasets, practicing differentiation between true ischemic lesions and stroke mimics. Expert faculty provide insights on optimizing imaging protocols, interpreting multimodal data, and integrating imaging into multidisciplinary stroke team workflows for rapid clinical action.
By the end of the course, attendees will have developed advanced technical and analytical skills to perform accurate, reproducible, and standardized stroke imaging assessments critical for patient triage and therapeutic planning.
