Echocardiography
Speckle Tracking Strain Imaging
A two-day simulation-based echocardiography training at ADN CoE focused on mastering speckle tracking strain imaging for advanced myocardial function assessment and early disease detection.

Training Overview
Speckle Tracking Strain Imaging Training is a specialized and practice-oriented educational program designed for cardiologists, echocardiographers, and imaging specialists aiming to enhance their expertise in advanced myocardial deformation analysis. This two-day intensive program provides an in-depth understanding of strain imaging principles, practical interpretation, and clinical applications in various cardiac conditions.
The course begins with comprehensive sessions on the fundamentals of myocardial mechanics, strain and strain rate concepts, and the physics behind speckle tracking technology. Participants learn to analyze global and regional longitudinal, circumferential, and radial strain parameters and their relevance to systolic and diastolic function assessment.
Through simulation-based learning, attendees gain hands-on experience using advanced echocardiography workstations to perform and interpret strain analyses in normal and pathological states. Practical modules include vendor-independent strain software navigation, image acquisition optimization, and step-by-step strain measurement using real and simulated echocardiographic datasets.
Case-based discussions highlight the role of strain imaging in early detection of cardiomyopathies, cardio-oncology surveillance, ischemic heart disease evaluation, valvular disease quantification, and heart failure management. Participants review real clinical examples demonstrating strain-based diagnostic and prognostic decision-making.
By the end of the program, participants will be able to confidently perform, interpret, and apply strain imaging in daily practice to improve diagnostic precision and patient outcomes.
