Sepsis & Bloodstream Infections Diagnostic Simulation
Comprehensive overview of sepsis and bloodstream infection diagnostics for clinical microbiology.

Training Overview
Sepsis & Bloodstream Infections Diagnostic Simulation is a comprehensive educational program designed to enhance the theoretical knowledge, analytical skills, and diagnostic interpretation abilities of healthcare professionals involved in clinical microbiology and infectious disease diagnostics. Hosted at the ADN CoE Training, Research Center & Core Lab, this two-day program integrates structured theoretical education with case-based learning, focusing on the principles, laboratory techniques, and clinical applications of sepsis and bloodstream infection diagnostics.
The course covers core topics including pathophysiology of sepsis, laboratory markers, blood culture techniques, pathogen identification, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, molecular diagnostics, automated detection systems, and interpretation of laboratory findings. Emphasis is placed on accurate result interpretation, clinical correlation, and relevance to patient management and infection control.
Through expert-led lectures and structured case discussions, participants review real-world bloodstream infection cases, enhancing their understanding of laboratory data and its impact on diagnosis, treatment decisions, and antimicrobial stewardship. Training is delivered by experienced microbiologists and infectious disease specialists, reinforcing diagnostic accuracy, laboratory quality standards, and clinical integration.
In addition to core sessions, the program includes discussions on reporting standards, quality assurance, laboratory workflows, biosafety, regulatory requirements, and the integration of microbiology results into multidisciplinary clinical practice. Case-based sessions address challenges commonly encountered in routine sepsis diagnostics and bloodstream infection interpretation.
By the end of the program, participants will have enhanced their ability to understand, interpret, and apply diagnostic results for sepsis and bloodstream infections effectively in clinical and laboratory settings.
