Training Overview

Post-Interventional Cardiac Critical Care Simulation (Cathlab–ICU Integration) is an advanced, simulation-based training program designed for interventional cardiologists, cardiac intensivists, critical care physicians, cardiology fellows, anesthesiologists, emergency medicine specialists, ICU nurses, and Cathlab personnel involved in the post-procedural management of high-risk cardiac patients. This two-day course integrates structured theoretical instruction with immersive, high-fidelity cardiac critical care simulations, emphasizing rapid assessment, evidence-based treatment, and multidisciplinary decision-making during early post-interventional periods.

The program begins with foundational sessions on cardiac physiology, hemodynamic instability mechanisms, post-PCI complications, arrhythmia pathways, mechanical circulatory support (MCS) principles, vascular access management, and early recognition of post-procedure deterioration. Participants explore essential concepts including 12-lead ECG interpretation, invasive hemodynamic waveform analysis, device troubleshooting, anticoagulation strategies, and stabilization of complex cardiac emergencies.

Hands-on simulation modules allow participants to manage complete Cathlab-to-ICU transition scenarios using high-fidelity cardiac simulators. Under expert supervision, attendees practice post-PCI stabilization, STEMI/NSTEMI workflow integration, cardiogenic shock protocols, acute stent thrombosis management, arrhythmia crises, temporary pacing, ECMO–IABP–Impella coordination, and stepwise evaluation of hemodynamic collapse with real-time monitoring integration.

Through interactive video reviews, case-based discussions, and faculty-guided debriefings, participants analyze real-world cardiac scenarios to refine high-stakes decision-making for triage, escalation of therapy, device optimization, complication management, and Cathlab–ICU communication pathways. Structured feedback enhances clinical reasoning, team coordination, and precision in rapidly evolving cardiac critical care environments.

Transfer Services

Participants using ADN CoE accommodation and transfer options should adhere to the scheduled pick-up and drop-off times, which were shared before the training.

International Participants

Attire

Business casual attire is recommended. Surgical scrubs and personal protective equipment will be provided for cadaver lab sessions. Please note: ADN CoE is a non-smoking, green-certified facility.

Transfer of Registration

Participants may transfer their registration to another individual from the same institution with prior written approval from ADN CoE, provided the request is made at least 10 days before the course start date.

Course Postponement or Cancellation

ADN CoE reserves the right to postpone or cancel the course due to unforeseen circumstances.

In case of cancellation by ADN CoE, participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future course date.
