Obstetric Anesthesia & Maternal Crisis Simulation

Comprehensive training on obstetric anesthesia and maternal crisis management.

Training Overview

Obstetric Anesthesia & Maternal Crisis Management is a comprehensive educational program designed to strengthen the theoretical knowledge, clinical judgment, and perioperative management skills of healthcare professionals involved in obstetric anesthesia. Hosted at the ADN CoE Training, Research Center & Core Lab, this two-day program integrates structured theoretical education with case-based learning, focusing on anesthesia management during normal and high-risk obstetric situations.

The course covers core topics including physiological changes during pregnancy, anesthetic techniques for labor and cesarean section, maternal hemodynamic management, obstetric emergencies, hemorrhage, hypertensive disorders, airway challenges, and postoperative maternal care. Emphasis is placed on early recognition of maternal complications, timely intervention, and patient safety.

Through expert-led lectures and structured case discussions, participants review real-world obstetric anesthesia cases, enhancing their understanding of maternal crises and their impact on both maternal and fetal outcomes. Training is delivered by experienced anesthesiologists and obstetric anesthesia specialists, reinforcing clinical accuracy, safety standards, and evidence-based practice.

In addition to core sessions, the program includes discussions on interdisciplinary communication, crisis management principles, anesthesia planning, and integration of obstetric anesthesia protocols into multidisciplinary maternal care. Case-based sessions address complex and high-risk clinical scenarios commonly encountered in obstetric anesthesia practice.

By the end of the program, participants will have enhanced their ability to plan, manage, and respond effectively to anesthesia-related challenges and maternal crises in obstetric settings.
