Nutritional Support: Enteral & Parenteral Feeding Simulation
A two-day, simulation-based nutrition program at ADN CoE focused on enteral and parenteral feeding.

Training Overview
Nutritional Support: Enteral & Parenteral Feeding Simulation is a comprehensive, simulation-based educational program designed to enhance the clinical competence, decision-making skills, and patient safety practices of nutrition and dietetics professionals involved in advanced nutritional support. Hosted at the ADN CoE Training, Research Center & Core Lab, this two-day program integrates structured theoretical education with hands-on enteral and parenteral nutrition simulations, focusing on evidence-based practice and individualized patient care.
The course covers indications, physiological principles, formula selection, access routes, and step-by-step protocols for enteral and parenteral nutrition. Emphasis is placed on nutritional assessment, route selection, initiation and advancement of feeding, monitoring strategies, and prevention of metabolic and mechanical complications.
Through interactive simulation workshops, participants practice enteral tube placement strategies, parenteral nutrition prescription, compounding principles, and monitoring in high-fidelity clinical scenarios. Training is conducted under the supervision of expert dietitians, clinical nutrition specialists, and international faculty, reinforcing accuracy, safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
In addition to hands-on simulation training, the program includes expert-led discussions on complication management, ethical considerations, multidisciplinary teamwork, and transitions of care. Case-based sessions address critically ill patients, surgical cases, oncology, and long-term nutritional support scenarios commonly encountered in clinical practice.
By the end of the program, participants will have strengthened their skills in planning, initiating, and managing enteral and parenteral nutrition safely and effectively across diverse patient populations.
