Pain Medicine
Musculoskeletal Pain: Myofascial & Trigger Point Therapy
A two-day, simulation-based training at ADN CoE focused on myofascial pain and trigger point therapy. Emphasizes practical techniques and effective musculoskeletal pain management.

Training Overview
Musculoskeletal Pain: Myofascial & Trigger Point Therapy is a simulation-enhanced training program designed for pain medicine specialists, anesthesiologists, physiatrists, and related clinicians seeking advanced expertise in the assessment and interventional management of musculoskeletal pain. This two-day course integrates structured theoretical modules with hands-on simulations and case-based discussions, focusing on myofascial pain mechanisms, trigger point identification, and effective treatment strategies.
The program begins with core principles of musculoskeletal pain pathophysiology, myofascial trigger point theory, pain referral patterns, and clinical assessment techniques. Participants review indications, contraindications, and evidence-based approaches for trigger point therapy, including dry needling, injection techniques, and adjunctive therapies.
Hands-on simulation sessions allow participants to practice palpation skills, anatomical landmark identification, and trigger point interventions using task trainers and simulated patients. Under expert guidance, attendees refine technique accuracy, needle handling, and patient safety while integrating clinical findings into individualized pain treatment plans.
Through interactive case discussions and guided debriefings, participants analyze common and complex musculoskeletal pain scenarios. Structured performance feedback enhances procedural confidence, clinical reasoning, and multidisciplinary communication.
By the end of the program, participants will have strengthened practical skills and clinical confidence in managing myofascial and trigger point–related pain conditions.
