Training Overview
The Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) Workshop: Learn, Practice, Master is an intensive and comprehensive training program designed to provide participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for mastering diagnostic and therapeutic EUS procedures. This program combines expert-led lectures, live case observations, interactive discussions, and hands-on training sessions to offer a well-rounded learning experience.
Participants begin with foundational lectures covering EUS anatomy, imaging principles, and clinical indications, establishing a clear understanding of the role of EUS in modern gastroenterology and oncology. Live case observations demonstrate real-world diagnostic and therapeutic applications, allowing learners to correlate theory with practice.
Interactive case discussions deepen participants’ abilities to interpret EUS findings accurately and apply them in clinical decision-making. Focused sessions on fine needle aspiration (FNA) and biopsy techniques provide detailed insights into sampling methods critical for diagnosis.
The workshop places a strong emphasis on hands-on training, where participants gain practical experience in probe handling, image acquisition, and performing FNA and therapeutic interventions such as drainage. These sessions are designed to build technical confidence and procedural competence.
Additional sessions address complication management, equipping participants with strategies to anticipate, recognize, and respond to potential adverse events during EUS procedures. The program concludes with a comprehensive review, knowledge assessment, and certification ceremony to validate participant learning.
By the end of the workshop, attendees will have developed a solid foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of EUS, empowering them to perform and interpret EUS procedures with greater proficiency and confidence.
