Gastroenterology
Endoscopic Hemostasis & Emergency Management
A two-day, simulation-based gastroenterology program at ADN CoE focused on endoscopic hemostasis and emergency GI management.

Training Overview
Endoscopic Hemostasis & Emergency Management is a comprehensive, simulation-based educational program designed to enhance the technical skills, clinical judgment, and rapid decision-making abilities of gastroenterologists managing acute gastrointestinal bleeding and endoscopic emergencies. Hosted at the ADN CoE Training, Research Center & Core Lab, this two-day program integrates structured theoretical education with hands-on endoscopic simulation, focusing on timely intervention, patient safety, and effective bleeding control.
The course covers the pathophysiology and classification of gastrointestinal bleeding, risk stratification, and evidence-based endoscopic hemostasis techniques. Emphasis is placed on injection therapy, thermal coagulation, mechanical devices, topical hemostatic agents, and management of post-procedural bleeding.
Through interactive simulation workshops, participants perform emergency endoscopic hemostasis procedures in high-fidelity simulation labs replicating real-life emergency endoscopy settings. Training is conducted under the supervision of expert gastroenterologists and international faculty, reinforcing procedural accuracy, speed, and teamwork under pressure.
In addition to hands-on training, the program includes expert-led discussions on complication management, escalation strategies, multidisciplinary coordination, and post-hemostasis care. Case-based sessions address real-world emergency scenarios such as massive GI bleeding, anticoagulation-related hemorrhage, and hemodynamically unstable patients.
By the end of the program, participants will have strengthened their emergency endoscopy skills, procedural confidence, and ability to manage life-threatening gastrointestinal bleeding safely and effectively.
