Training Overview

CTO PCI Masterclass is a highly specialized and practice-focused training program designed for interventional cardiologists and cath lab professionals aiming to advance their expertise in the percutaneous treatment of chronic total occlusions (CTO). This two-day intensive course provides a deep understanding of CTO anatomy, lesion characteristics, and modern recanalization strategies with hands-on simulation, live or recorded case demonstrations, and expert-led discussions.

The program begins with theoretical sessions on coronary anatomy, lesion classification, and crossing techniques, including antegrade wire escalation, antegrade dissection re-entry (ADR), and retrograde approaches. Participants are introduced to the hybrid algorithm and practical decision-making frameworks that guide contemporary CTO interventions.

Through structured hands-on simulation, participants perform wire manipulation, microcatheter handling, and re-entry techniques on advanced synthetic coronary models that mimic true vessel resistance and tortuosity. Dedicated workshops focus on device selection, wire escalation strategies, and complication management — from vessel perforation to subintimal tracking.

Case-based discussions and live procedural analyses allow participants to observe and interpret real CTO cases performed by international experts. Each session emphasizes imaging-based lesion assessment using IVUS and OCT to enhance precision in wire crossing and stent optimization. Participants will also review post-procedure imaging and follow-up strategies to evaluate procedural success and long-term outcomes.

Logistics and Additional Information

Transfer Services

Participants using ADN CoE accommodation and transfer options should adhere to the scheduled pick-up and drop-off times, which were shared before the training.

International Participants

Ensure your passport and visa are valid before travel. For invitation letters or official documentation, contact trainings@adncoe.com at least 4 weeks before the course start date. Information on nearby hotels, transport, and COVID-19 regulations will be provided before the event.

Attire

Business casual attire is recommended. Surgical scrubs and personal protective equipment will be provided for cadaver lab sessions. Please note: ADN CoE is a non-smoking, green-certified facility.

Health & Safety

Our venues comply with the highest safety and hygiene standards. Participants will receive orientation on fire, emergency, and biosafety protocols.

Refund Policy

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to trainings@adncoe.com.

Refunds will be processed based on the following schedule:

• More than 30 days before the course start date: Full refund minus a processing fee of 5%.

• Between 15 and 30 days before the course start date: 50% refund.

• Less than 15 days before the course start date: No refund will be issued.

No refunds will be given for no-shows or partial attendance.

Transfer of Registration

Participants may transfer their registration to another individual from the same institution with prior written approval from ADN CoE, provided the request is made at least 10 days before the course start date.

Course Postponement or Cancellation

ADN CoE reserves the right to postpone or cancel the course due to unforeseen circumstances.

In case of cancellation by ADN CoE, participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future course date.

Non-Transferable Fees

Payment made for the course is non-transferable to other courses or services unless otherwise approved by ADN CoE.
