Cardiac MR
Cardiac MR: Ventricular Function & Tissue Characterization
A two-day, simulation-based training at ADN CoE designed to enhance proficiency in cardiac MR imaging for ventricular function assessment and tissue characterization.

Training Overview
Cardiac MR: Ventricular Function & Tissue Characterization Training is a comprehensive and practice-oriented educational program developed for cardiologists, radiologists, and imaging specialists aiming to master advanced cardiac MRI techniques. This two-day course provides a complete understanding of the cardiac MR workflow—from image acquisition and protocol optimization to interpretation and clinical integration.
The program begins with focused sessions on MR physics, cardiac anatomy, and imaging sequences for ventricular function, perfusion, and tissue characterization. Participants learn to apply cine imaging, late gadolinium enhancement (LGE), T1/T2 mapping, and strain analysis to evaluate myocardial structure, fibrosis, edema, and viability.
Through simulation-based learning, participants practice MR scan planning, image acquisition, and post-processing using dedicated cardiac MRI simulation software and case-based datasets. Hands-on workshops include ventricular volume and mass quantification, ejection fraction assessment, and tissue mapping interpretation under expert supervision.
Interactive case discussions and live or recorded imaging demonstrations allow participants to interpret real patient datasets, identify pathological findings, and correlate MR results with clinical and echocardiographic data. Additional modules address safety considerations, artifact management, and emerging techniques such as 4D flow imaging and parametric mapping.
Faculty-led panels provide opportunities for interactive discussion on protocol standardization, reporting structure, and integration of cardiac MR into patient management and research. By the end of the program, participants will be equipped with both the technical expertise and interpretive skills to perform and analyze cardiac MR studies with confidence.
