Acute Stroke Recognition & Management Simulation
A two-day, simulation-based ICU program at ADN CoE focusing on mastering mechanical ventilation strategies, ARDS management, and advanced ventilator troubleshooting.

Training Overview
Acute Stroke Recognition & Management Simulation is a comprehensive, simulation-based educational program designed to enhance the rapid diagnostic skills, clinical decision-making, and acute management competencies of neurologists in stroke care. Hosted at the ADN CoE Training, Research Center & Core Lab, this two-day program integrates structured theoretical education with high-fidelity simulation, focusing on early recognition, timely intervention, and evidence-based stroke management.
The course covers comprehensive sessions on ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, stroke mimics, acute neuroimaging interpretation, and time-sensitive treatment pathways, emphasizing thrombolysis, mechanical thrombectomy indications, and acute blood pressure and complication management. Participants gain hands-on experience in realistic simulation labs replicating real emergency and stroke unit workflows, focusing on speed, accuracy, and patient safety.
Through interactive simulation workshops, attendees perform step-by-step acute stroke assessments, NIHSS scoring, imaging-based decision-making, and treatment initiation under the supervision of expert stroke neurologists and international faculty. Dedicated sessions on CT/CTA interpretation, reperfusion strategies, and post-acute monitoring ensure a complete technical learning experience.
In addition to clinical training, the program features expert-led discussions on multidisciplinary stroke team coordination, complication prevention, and post-acute care planning. Attendees will also participate in case-based discussions addressing real-world challenges, complex stroke scenarios, and system-based approaches to optimizing stroke outcomes.
By the end of the program, participants will have strengthened their confidence in acute stroke recognition and management while expanding their professional network within a global stroke care community.
