What does happen when world-renowned cardiologists, a master educator, and a unique agenda are combined for two consecutive days?
You do not receive another workshop, you receive an experience that will transform you.
Our CTO and Complex PCI course, which was conducted on 13–14 May 2025 at ADN CoE, was not just an event. It was an immersion in the future of interventional cardiology, a tribute to clinical excellence, and a strong reminder of what is achieved when passion is coupled with precision. Under the direction of Dr. Carlo Tumscitz, we approached some of the most demanding aspects of coronary intervention with assurance, teamwork, and an unyielding dedication to breaking boundaries.
Mastering Complexity: CTO and PCI at the Fore
The Fore Chronic Total Occlusions (CTO) are still one of the most technically challenging aspects of interventional cardiology. The purpose of our course was to de-mystify CTO PCI and equip cardiologists with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to approach even the most complicated lesions. During two intensive days, delegates had the chance to:
Investigate contemporary CTO algorithms and pathways of decision
Understand the antegrade vs retrograde strategies
Selection of master microcatheter and guidewire
Watch live case presentations, guided in real-time by Dr. Tumscitz
Engage in extended case reviews and interactive discussions
No aspect was omitted, and no inquiry went unaddressed. If you were new to your CTO path or already conducting sophisticated interventions, this course offered a guided yet adaptive setting in which you could learn and flourish.
In the Cath Lab:
Learning in Real Time What made this session different was our emphasis on live case demonstrations. Learners observed live interventions as well as learned about the decision process, handling of the device, and management of complications precisely the type of hands-on learning that textbooks cannot provide.
Each case had its unique anatomical and procedural challenge, providing a front-row seat to:
Crossing strategies and alternate plans Interpretation and application of intravascular imaging
Stent deployment and optimization in challenging territories
Safety protocols and hemodynamic management for complex interventions
They weren't scripted protocols, they were genuine, raw and steeped in clinical subtlety.
The Maestro of the Magic:
One could sense the excitement the instant Dr. Carlo Tumscitz approached the microphone. With numerous years of performing and instructing intricate PCI procedures all over the world, Dr. Tumscitz had an unparalleled wealth of knowledge and focus to impart during the course. His technical expertise was blended with humility, patience, and an abiding commitment to education. He didn’t simply instruct the “how” he instructed the “why,” leading participants step-by-step through the strategic considerations behind every movement in the cath lab. His receptivity to questions and immediate feedback created a dynamic, two-way learning process that made a lasting impression.
A Sincere Thank You
No event of this magnitude occurs without the tireless input from many. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to:
The committed cardiologists and guests who had traveled afar to be with us your enthusiasm, questions, and dedication to learning made this session a one to remember.
To Dr. Carlo Tumscitz, not only for imparting his knowledge, but for encouraging all of us in the room to aim for excellence in each procedure.
The remarkable Sant’Anna hospital and support staff, who worked behind the scenes to provide a smooth, professional, and secure learning space for everyone Collectively, we established an environment of open exchange of ideas, honing of skills, and the creation of new relationships, all for the collective purpose of enhancing patient care in the specialty of cardiovascular medicine.
What's to Come
The success of this session is only the starting point. At ADN CoE, we are determined to deliver top-level, hands-on, and forward-looking educational experiences for the international cardiology community.
More programs, live cases, and expert workshops are also in the pipeline.
Our objective?
To make certain that all interventional cardiologists can access the knowledge, technology, and network required to advance their practice and enhance patient outcomes. Stay in touch with us at www.adncoe.com and follow us on the social networks for announcements about upcoming events.
We look forward to seeing you at the next session. Until then, stay pushing boundaries, keep growing, and keep shaping the future of cardiology.
