On March 8, 2025, we had the privilege of hosting an extraordinary event dedicated to celebrating women in medicine and fostering continuous medical education. This special gathering brought together brilliant minds from the fields of cardiology and neuroscience, offering insightful discussions, knowledge-sharing, and a sense of community that left a lasting impact on all participants.

The event kicked off with an engaging session by Prof. Dr. Alev Arat Özkan who shed light on microvascular disease in women, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the unseen, while Prof. Dr. Nihan Turhan Çağlar provided a deep dive into coronary artery disease in female patients. Addressing another critical topic, Assoc. Prof. Sinem Çakal explored angina pectoris in cancer patients, followed by Prof. Dr. Yasemin Gürsoy Özdemir, who highlighted the complexities of perfusion deficits despite successful revascularization. The session continued with Dr. Dilara Yüksel discussing cardiovascular risks during pregnancy, providing invaluable insights into maternal heart health. Shifting focus to neurological perspectives, Dr. Zeynep Fırat examined structural and functional differences in the female brain through neuroimaging. After a networking break, Mrs Özlem Özdeniz took the stage to emphasize the importance of performance and expertise beyond gender stereotypes in the medical field. The afternoon sessions continued with Mrs. Eda Horozlu, who engaged participants in a dynamic exploration of emotional intelligence and creative drama in medical practice, offering innovative approaches to patient care.
One of the most engaging moments of the event was our interactive Aroma Therapy Workshop, where participants explored the connection between emotional well-being, cognitive function, and heart health. The session, led by experts, provided practical insights into the therapeutic benefits of aromatherapy and its potential applications in medical practice.
As the event progressed, it became more than just a learning experience, it was a celebration of women’s contributions to healthcare. The panel discussion sparked valuable conversations about the evolving role of female medical professionals, their challenges, and how they continue to break barriers in the field.
We wrapped up the day with a heartfelt message of appreciation for all our attendees, speakers, and organizers. This event was more than a series of lectures, it was a testament to the power of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and the unwavering dedication of women in medicine.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to more opportunities to connect, learn, and grow together.
Stay tuned for our upcoming events, and let’s continue empowering each other in this ever-evolving field of medicine!
