Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death worldwide. According to the World Health Organization, it is projected that by 2030, cardiovascular disease will be responsible for more deaths than cancer and AIDS combined. The healthcare community must work together to fight this devastating problem. One of the best ways to do that is by encouraging education. ADN CoE organized one of the biggest trainings in which the company hosted one of the masters of CTO PCI topic Prof. Dr. Gabriele Gasparini, right from Italy until Istanbul to conduct the course in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Şevket Görgülü and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kudret Keskin two of the most well-known Turkish experts.
The topic of PCI training is one that is sure to be of interest to a wide range of professionals in the medical device field and beyond. The group of physicians attended from across the world have come together to share what they know on CTO PCI procedure and gather more knowledge to fill in the gaps they are having. An international training like this gave a golden opportunity to experts and practitioners all over the world to share knowledge, and learn from each other's experiences to improve their practice. This event hosted a mix of nationalities, attendees came from all over the world including Bulgaria, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, Israel, Turkey and Iran to name a few. They all had the chance to learn from the experts in an atmosphere full of fun and a lot of interest exchange between everyone. Their synergy together with the efforts of our experts had formed what is believed to be the most comprehensive and joyful training course of its kind.
The course provided was a unique opportunity to learn about the newest developments in the field of chronic total occlusion procedure and associated technologies from some of the leading experts in this field. The information presented is relevant and applicable to the real world, with focus on how to develop individual treatment plans for patients using the techniques and procedures presented on the course.
The event itself was composed of two days of training, in which 4 complex live cases were performed which were reserved especially for this masterclass level. Everyone who attended this event left with a lot of new knowledge and very useful tips and tricks about the procedure that can be used in their practices and improve the lives of their patients. At the end of the event all the attendees were given a certificate of participation as proof of their attendance in the event.
The event was a resounding success and it was great to see so many experts coming together to share their knowledge from one another and help to advance the field of medicine which is the objective of ADN CoE which always hopes that these events will help to reduce the rates of cardiovascular mortality and increase the level of medical competence across the globe.
