Prof. Dr. Diaa Hakim is an experienced Interventional Cardiologist with a demonstrated history of working at university hospitals & healthcare facilities and research foundations. He is skilled in general cardiology, interventional cardiology, cardiovascular Imaging (CT, MRI), Intravascular Imaging (IVUS, OCT), and clinical research. Professional expert with a board of Interventional cardiology and cardiovascular imaging from the University Paris Descartes. Clinical and research experience from Columbia University, Cardiovascular Research Foundation, NY, Yale University, and Harvard University
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
He made an Interventional Cardiology Fellow at CHU Henri Mondor, Créteil France in 2002, was a post-doc fellow At Cardiovascular Research Foundation, as well as Columbia University Medical Center in New York. He worked as an Associate professor of Cardiology, and director of the intravascular imaging and physiological core lab, Intervention cardiology unit at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He was a Cardiologist- Clinical research scientist/ Cardiovascular Imaging Consultant at Yale New Haven Hospital. Currently, he is a Cardiologist, Director of the vascular and Intravascular Cardiac Imaging Core Lab at Brigham and Women's Hospital/ Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts.
