Research assistant and internal medicine residency education at Justus Liebig University with TDGS scholarship in 1991-1994.
Attending physician at the coronary intensive unit in 1997-2001, echocardiography laboratory in 2001-2004 and mainly the catheterization laboratory from 2004 and onwards at İstanbul University’s Cardiology Institute.
Attained the title of associate professor of cardiology in 2006; joined the staff of professors at İstanbul University’s Cardiology Institute in 2012.
Member to the Turkish Society of Cardiology and EAPCI and ACCA subgroups of European Society of Cardiology; member and secretary general to the İstanbul Interventional Cardiology Academy; Scientific Advisory Board member in the Turkish Society of Cardiology archive.
Undertook the leadership of the Women’s Cardiac Health Project Group in 2014-2016.
Currently assistant editor of International Journal of Cardiovascular Academy .
Has over 100 articles, 51 of which have been published on reputable international journals; delivered over 200 presentations at national and international conventions; authored and edited numerous books on cardiology.
Primary fields of clinical interest:
Interventional cardiology (coronary angiography, intravenous visualization, FFR, iFR, chronic total occlusion),
Atherosclerosis, risk factors, coronary arterial disease and its complications,
Female cardiac health, gestational cardiac health,
Cardiac valve diseases,
General cardiology (hypertension, heart failure, aortic diseases).
