
Sakarya University Faculty of Medicine, established on July 9, 2007, began admitting students in the 2008-2009 academic year. Initially, students received their education at Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine until 2012. Following the completion of the Morphology Building in 2012, the faculty began offering education on its own campus. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the Sakarya University Training and Research Hospital serves as the primary institution for education, research, and healthcare services. Students spend their first three years in the Morphology Building and complete their clinical internships at the hospital during the fourth, fifth, and sixth years.
As of 2024, the faculty comprises 69 professors, 57 associate professors, 32 assistant professors, 18 research assistants, and 4 lecturers, supported by 21 administrative staff members. The student body includes 625 female and 516 male undergraduate students, totaling 1,141 individuals.
