During the fellowship, physicians will work closely with experienced obesity medicine specialists to deepen their understanding of obesity as a chronic disease. Through clinical rotations, didactic lectures, and research opportunities, fellows will gain insights into the latest advancements in obesity management, including lifestyle interventions, pharmacotherapy, and bariatric surgery.

Fellows will learn to conduct thorough patient assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and effectively communicate with patients to support them in achieving their weight loss goals. They will also gain experience in managing obesity-related comorbidities, such as diabetes, hypertension, and sleep apnea, with a holistic and multidisciplinary approach.

Throughout the program, fellows will have the opportunity to collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including dietitians, psychologists, and exercise physiologists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
