During the fellowship, doctors will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced cardiovascular surgeons to develop their skills in diagnosing and managing complex cardiovascular conditions.

Through a combination of clinical rotations, didactic lectures, and research opportunities, fellows will gain a comprehensive understanding of the surgical and medical management of cardiovascular diseases. Fellows will learn about the latest surgical techniques and technologies for the treatment of coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, aortic aneurysms, and other conditions affecting the heart and blood vessels.

During the fellowship, doctors will also have the opportunity to work with patients who require specialized care, such as those with congenital heart disease, heart failure, or arrhythmias. Fellows will learn how to effectively communicate with patients and their families, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care.

At the completion of the Cardiovascular Surgery Fellowship, doctors will be well-prepared to pursue a career as a cardiovascular surgeon, and will have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to their patients. Fellows will be trained to deliver compassionate care that is tailored to the unique needs of each individual patient, and will be equipped to make complex decisions in the management of complex cardiovascular conditions.
