Dr. İsmail Polat Canbolat is working at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital. His areas of special interest are cardiovascular health, cardiac evaluation in heart failure, and non-cardiac diseases.

EDUCATION

He graduated from the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2008 and Completed hir cardiology residency training at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Institute of Cardiology between 2008 and 2013.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

He made his compulsory service at Kağıthane State Hospital and Hakkari Yüksekova State Hospital, then he started working as an academician at Demiroğlu Science University and as a cardiologist at Şişli Florence Nightingale Hospital in November 2014. He work at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital since August 2020 where he was responsible for the coronary intensive care unit, he took care of patients with advanced heart failure and took part in the artificial heart support devices and heart transplant team. He worked also as a consultant cardiologist in liver and kidney transplant teams. He continues to work actively in echocardiography and interventional cardiology laboratories.

He adopts a holistic approach to cardiovascular diseases. His special interests are the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, nutrition, and cardiac evaluation in non-cardiac diseases.

His academic work focuses on pre-surgical cardiac assessment and management of the heart patient, post-surgical cardiovascular complications, and experimental models in heart failure.

In addition to his academic and clinical duties, he served as Assistant Chief Physician at Şişli Florence Nightingale Hospital between October 2016 and August 2020.
